FIRST GRADE 
Each day the children will be using their R.O.D.E.O. Binder. Basically, this is a three-ring binder that contains important vocabulary and high-frequency words, sheets about math concepts and Word a Day journaling pages. There is also a tab to find information about skills we are learning in class. I will let you know when new sheets are added to "Notes".

Please review the words from Lesson 3 this evening. We will have a reading assessment tomorrow!
These words can be found in your child's hardcover anthology and in the R.O.D.E.O. Binder behind the tab "Reading Pals"
Hardcover Anthology: Please ask your child questions about the selection "Curious George at School".  Encourage your child to track under the print and use good inflection in the voice.smiley
Read Every Day Bag: Listen to your child read a book from his or her personal reading level.

Lesson #3 Reading Assessment
Encourage your child to read for 20 minutes this evening.  Leveled readers are available in your child's Read Every Day Bag. Please look for new readers in your child's backpack.
