Shoe Drive
Would you ever think that your gently work, used, and new shoes could benefit someone in need? Well, they can and here's how. St. John's Lutheran School is participating in a fundraiser where there is nothing to buy or sell, all we need is your support to share this new drive and your gently worn, used, or new shoes. From March 1st through April 30th, we are looking to collect 2500 pairs of shoes from our church, school, and community families. This will be no easy task, but we hope to connect to more families in Lewiston and Altura in this way.

How can you get started?

Spring cleaning is on the minds of many of our families. Start in your own family's closets and gather pairs of shoes that you've out-grown, are out of style, or out of season. Even cleats are included in this shoe drive!!

Who are these shoes for?

The company, Funds2Orgs, uses the shoe drive program to support micro-entrepreneurs (small-business owners) in developing nations like Haiti, Colombia, and Tanzania. These shoes will also assist families in third-world countries that cannot afford shoes.

What shoes can you donate?

Gently-worn, used, and new shoes that are in good condition, clean and still wearable. Flip flops, open-toed shoes, cleats, and boots are included in this shoe drive. Funds2Orgs asks that shoes that are wet, moldy, unwearable, soles falling off, or are mismatched should not be dropped off. If you have any questions on certain shoes, please contact Mr. Drews directly.

Where can you drop-off shoes for this drive?

There are two drop-off bins located inside the school front entrance and one bin can be found at the entrance of the Activity Center. Additional bins will be set-up in some local Lewiston businesses, but are not there yet.

New updates will be given throughout this drive's duration. If you have any additional questions about the St. John's Shoe Drive, please feel free to contact me directly at or (507) 523-2508, Ext. 113.

May God grant success for this drive!!
